Copper sparkle wheels
A 2-part coat system produced this dazzling copper sparkle finish to these M3 BMW wheels. First the existing coating was blasted from the wheel, this was followed by a primer under coat followed by the final 2 coats to produce this finish.

Sliding gate
Large areas of flat surfaces are not the easiest to powder coat but with trained staff the right powder and up to date powder coating equipment they can be straight forward.
The gate was initially shot blasted, followed by the application of a zinc rich primer. This was the finished with a grey gloss finish RAL Code 7016.

Powder coated primer undercoats
The type of under coat we use can be specified by you the customer, however a large percentage of the time we use a zinc rich primer because in recent salt spray tests the zinc rich powder outperformed zero zinc powders by almost 3 times.

Before and After

Chest restoration
Recently a customer bought us this chest to see if it was possible for a powder coating makeover. After a light blasting to remove the rusting, the chest was ready for coating, a primer undercoat was first applied to prevent further corrosion followed by the “special” topcoat which is an antique copper, powder coated finish. Motorcycle frame before and after
Our customer required a powder coating upgrade on his mini moto bike frame. The original coating was first blasted off, this can be a timely job depending on how the frame was coated previously. Then a primer undercoat was added before the frame was finished in gloss black.

Loading Structural Steels
This structural steel work was part of a job for a new department store in the midlands. The Heavy-duty beams were brought to us pre-galvanised. The beams required a very light blasting, enough to key the surface which helps the powder to bond. Next a primer undercoat was applied to provide a smooth surface for the top coat.

Aluminium plate transformation
Recently these plates were bought to us, to try and help salvage a burnt down youth club shelter. This was straight forward, first they were blasted to remove any existing coatings; this was followed by a light sanding to remove any rough areas. Following this the top coat Green (RAL 6005 Gloss) was applied before the plates were baked into the oven.

Industrial Air receiver tanks
Industrial Air receiver tanks from start to finish. Firstly, they undergo shot blasting, then their fork lifted to the spray booth for a final rub down to ensure the surface is as smooth as it can be for coating. The next stage, holes and surfaces that don’t want powder applying to them are masked and bunged. Now it is ready to apply the primer, followed by a light blue (Code BS 20 E 51 Gloss) top coat as per our customers specifications.
